San Giuliano Terme Health Centre
The building complex consists of three buildings, having two elevations. The blocks are designed to host the various functions of the health facility, in addition to the visitor services and a research center. For the construction, it is provided an elevated structure in metallic carpentry, while the foundation is realized through a lattice of beams, in addition to an underground portion. The columns always have the axis of inertia more oriented in the transverse direction, where the frame is provided, while in the longitudinal direction the bracing function is entrusted to the reinforced concrete walls of the stairwells. The main beams are ordered in the longitudinal direction and therefore in sign of minor inertia of the columns so as not to burden the latter with the deflection determined by the gravitational loads on the axis of greater inertia, engaged by the seismic stresses; for this reason the main beams are hinged at the ends. A number of positive aspects are a number of factors in terms of effectiveness in the various areas of the structural block.
